As we are all so busy during the week, the weekends tend to be the time we catch up on the all the washing. Real life tasks are best for children to learn from as they get hands on experience, plenty of opportunity to master skills as they are preformed quite regularly, and they get to spend some quality time with you too! Matching socks is an easy experience to start with, not only can the parent get on with folding the rest of the clothes, but the children are learning maths skills by finding similarities and reinforcing the concept of 'one', they are also improving fine motor skills, finger dexterity and strength. Most importantly they are learning about responsibility and how we do our part to help others too.
