Open opportunities to draw and create are a wonderful experience to with your children on the lead up to a new transition. Often children find it hard to put into words their feelings and emotions. Exploration through art allows them a sense of freedom, as there is not right or wrong way of doing, to express themselves. Why not offer the opportunity to draw or create what they think their school/room will look like. Ask them questions about their work to encourage conversation and discussion around the topic or why not share a a memory you have of starting something new and how you felt.
