At StartBright Bawnogue the children have been working on architectural design. They have been using the magnets to build tall towers exploring height, balance and expressing themselves creatively. This incorporate numeracy, science and engineering into their day in a hands-on, play based approach allowing children to make meaning and seek understanding. Having these subjects ingrained into all spaces in our environment allows children to confidently explore all the processes and spur them on the theorize, hypothesize and use their critical thinking skills to find solutions.  This exploration links in not only STEAM (Science, technology, engineering, art, maths) skills but also ensures that children are developing their Essential 21st Century Skills.
