Children love collecting things or treasures when out and about especially in nature. A special leave, flower, stick etc. It satiates their natural curiosity and allows them a memento of the experience and is simply fun. Why not gather these collections and place in some water in a bowl to create a frozen sun catcher or frozen plates for outside imaginary play. They won't last long but they will open up an opportunity into science, exploration and critical thinking that will keep on going!a
