The centre of most people's house is the kitchen where conversations happen, dinner is cooked and tea is made throughout the day. Not much changes when the children are in the home corner. They love to role play those closest to them and it sparks the beginning of their imaginative journey. We at StartBright love being involved in this play as it gives us a little window into home life, the conversations and rituals you have, the food you eat and who lovingly prepares it, the family dynamics and who comes to visit and so on. It provides an abundance of knowledge and opportunity but also allows children to learn from each other respectfully about their culture and background.
