At StartBright we try to bring in and use natural resources in our experiences. Cutting is no different. Why not practice those scissor skills at home with a basket of leaves and a scissors! They are great tool to use as little hands can hold them steady and snip the whole way through. They can build on existing strengths or work on developing skills that will help with cutting in the future. Remember thumb on top and snap snap snap!

* We use metal scissors at StartBright so that the effort is rewarded by the outcome i.e. that when you cut with the correct position it cuts through. Plastic scissors do not always give this result.
